Optima Award Recognizes Excellence in Long-Term Care and Assisted Living In Glen Cove
The
Glen Cove Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation, was the proud
recipient of the coveted Nationally Recognized OPTIMA AWARD presented
by Nursing Homes Magazine. The Optima Award was created to give
national recognition to innovative, outcome-oriented teamwork in
long-term facilities that contributes to the optimum function and
well-being of residents. The Glen Cove Center for Nursing and
Rehabilitation received the award for their winning entry, written by
Administrator Jill Smoller, which described how she, together with the
entire staff, successfully implemented a program to overhaul the food
service division.
In recognition of the fact that the Glen Cove Center for Nursing and
Rehabilitation is an award winning long-term care facility in a league
of its own, representatives from the offices of Mayor Mary Ann Holzkamp
of Glen Cove, Nassau County Executive Thomas R. Suozzi and the NY
Department of Senior Affairs, presented citations at the Awards
Ceremony. Assembly David Sidikman of District 13 was on hand to warmly
congratulate the Glen Cove Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation upon
